The head unit is married to a car and will not function in another car unless it is first divorced and then remarried to the new car. Additionally, because the head unit requires the SID in order to function, it cannot be used in anything but the 900 and 9-3.

There are primarily two types of head units available, one offering AM/FM and a cassette player, and another offering AM/FM and a single CD player.
